Welcome to Season 2026/27!
Welcome to another exciting season of Nippers!
Nippers is a fun, safe and engaging water safety and education program for children aged 5 to 14 years. Delivered at Life Saving Clubs across Victoria throughout summer, the program introduces children to the world of lifesaving while helping them build confidence, develop new skills and make friends along the way.

Through a mix of beach activities, water-based learning and lifesaving skills, Nippers gives children the opportunity to learn in a fun and supportive environment. Our aim is to help every child feel confident and comfortable around the water while developing the skills and knowledge they need to become safe and capable future lifesavers.
Something for Everyone
Whether your child is a confident swimmer, new to the beach or somewhere in between, there is a place for them in Nippers.
Our program caters for all experience and skill levels, with activities designed to be fun, encouraging and age appropriate. We recognise that every child learns and develops differently, so our programs are structured to support individual needs, build confidence and celebrate progress.
As Nippers move through each age group, activities progressively introduce and develop the essential skills, knowledge and confidence needed for lifesaving.
Learning, Growing and Having Fun
Most importantly, Nippers is about having fun while learning valuable skills for life.
Our lessons are designed to be easy to follow, engaging and supportive, giving children the opportunity to learn at their own pace while enjoying the beach environment.
For parents and families, Nippers is a wonderful way to help children develop water awareness, teamwork, resilience and confidence — all while becoming part of the lifesaving community.
