Schools Beach Program

​

Mornington Life Saving Club runs a hugely successful Schools Beach Program each season, available during Term 4 and Term 1.

Our Schools Beach Program has been running successfully for more than 20 years, providing students with engaging, hands-on experiences that promote water safety, confidence and awareness around the beach and aquatic environments.

In recognition of the program’s contribution to community education and water safety, Mornington Life Saving Club was awarded the 2025 Community Education Achievement Award by Life Saving Victoria (LSV).

This award highlights the vital role our club plays in educating the next generation about water safety and recognises the quality, commitment and impact of our Schools Beach Program.

We also won the VicHealth Active Sport and recreation Initiative of the year at the Vic Sport Awards 2026.

We offer a variety of activities for all ages and can tailor the program to suit your school or community group’s needs. We also have a Mobi chair available for water access and can modify activities to accommodate participants with disabilities where an aide is present.

We have fine-tuned a fantastic program that caters for all ages and abilities. Whether you’re bringing younger students, secondary students or a community group, we’ll help create a fun, safe and memorable day at the beach.

The program is flexible and activities can be combined into rotations to suit your group, age and experience levels.

 

Facilities

We have a fridge available if you would like to bring your own drinks and icy poles for the group. Our BBQ facilities are also available to use if you would like to cook your own food.

With prior notice, we can also open the club kiosk for snacks, ice creams and drinks.
